The Sports and Physical Exercise Research Center is a permanent and interdisciplinary structure. It belongs to the Sports Department of the Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas do Douro, hereinafter referred to as ISCE Douro, which aims to promote scientific research and technical and pedagogical intervention in sports sciences.
NIDEF is an organizing, promoting, coordinating and supporting structure for research and technical and pedagogical intervention projects. The projects are led by ISCE Douro teachers and researchers, with open participation from students and other researchers from higher education institutions that may join.
NIDEF ensures the development of R&D activities, prioritizing connection to the ISCE Douro territory. It promotes the professional and practice-based nature of these activities, as expected from a polytechnic higher education institution.
