The Psychopedagogical Support Office (GAPP) is a specialized psychological, psychopedagogical and guidance support service for insertion into active life.

It is aimed at students and other members of the ISCE Douro academic community, as well as former students.

| These are functions of GAPP

1. Support and guide the student in adapting and integrating into higher education;

2. Identify, prevent and assist students in the face of psychological problems, namely:

   • Academic achievement;

   • Stress and anxiety when taking exams;

   • Difficulties in academic and social integration;

   • Depression, exhaustion;

   • Demotivation;

   • Personal/family problems;

3. Support the student in the educational process and academic success;

4. Support the student in personal development, contributing to the definition of identity and the prevention of risky behaviors;

5. Increase the level of information about the means/resources available to the student, both at the level of the academic community and within civil society in general;

6. Inform and monitor the student regarding employment opportunities and the promotion of entrepreneurship;

7. Monitor and analyze the student's post-academic path;

8. Cooperate with teachers in discussing situations relating to students (e.g. defining motivation and learning strategies as a way of ensuring academic success; risk situations…);

9. Support the educational community in general.
