| Course Presentation

The Higher Professional Technical Course in Product Design aims to fill a set of gaps in specific skills, in sectors with enormous preponderance in the socioeconomic context, both at intermunicipal and regional level. A response to the challenges of innovation, creativity, initiative and entrepreneurial spirit lies in offering new skills in activities in the area of design and product development, to trigger the development of new reserves of talent in the areas of disruptive technologies and emerging professionals in matters of green skills and sustainable development. The requirement for the accelerated adoption of new technologies, particularly disruptive ones in the manufacturing and related sectors, implies a response to the urgent skills needs of people of working age, the improvement of skills and requalification of the workforce in the industrial ecosystem and who can join the sector. Therefore, this course is designed to meet the needs of companies and their employees, and can take place in an after-work format.

| Entry Conditions

Fulfill one of the following conditions:

  • Hold a secondary education course (with or without entrance exams) or a legally equivalent qualification;
  • Have passed the tests for those over 23 years of age;
  • Hold a CET or a higher education degree, with a view to professional requalification.

| Learning Objectives

The professional trained in the area of Product Design is able to develop activities in the area of design, product development, collaborating in the phases of conception, design, planning, detail, testing and presentation of new products, integrating knowledge of design principles , materials and technologies.

  • Implement and materialize ideas for new products
  • Create and develop solutions to problems inherent to product development
  • Plan and carry out technical documentation for the manufacture and operation of industrial products
