| Course Presentation

The Higher Professional Technical Course in Sports and Adventure Tourism is based on solid technical training, which aims to design, plan, organize and monitor programs of sports and adventure tourism activities, providing autonomous assistance to tourists. The graduate will therefore be a senior technical staff qualified to perform highly specialized functions, participating in the management and maintenance of facilities and equipment, from a technical and tourist perspective, in activities that fall within the respective area and level of specialization.

| Entry Conditions

Fulfill one of the following conditions:

  • Hold a secondary education course (with or without entrance exams) or a legally equivalent qualification;

  • Have passed the tests for those over 23 years of age;

  • Hold a CET or a higher education degree, with a view to professional requalification.

| Learning Objectives

Professionals trained in the area of Sports and Adventure Tourism are able to design, plan and organize Sports and Adventure Tourism programs, in specific technical areas, in natural environments or in facilities prepared for this purpose. They can develop activities in sports associations and groups, tourism and adventure centers with adequate infrastructure for the promotion and practice of sports, as forms of leisure and/or health promotion activities.

  • Organization of sporting and adventure activities and events

  • Management and supervision of human resources in the area of sports and adventure tourism

  • Organization of sports programs adapted to adventure practices

Coordination : Prof. Dr. Ana Silvestre Graça

Ana Margarida Silvestre Graça is Coordinating Professor at the Department of Tourism. She was Coordinating Professor at the Profitecla Professional School, in Lisbon, in 2018. PhD student in Tourism, from the University of Lisbon, Master in Tourism, Territory and Heritage, from the University of Coimbra and Degree in Tourism, Territory and Heritage, from the University of Coimbra, being Researcher at the Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism (CiTUR).

Professionally, she is a trainer, consultant and entrepreneur in several companies, such as Turismo de Portugal, Companhia Própria, TH2, Rota do Arroz Doce and Global Women in Tourism. She is also a member of Global Women in Tourism in Portugal.

His areas of interest and research include Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Teaching, Leadership and Sustainability. He has multiple appearances at conferences and competitions, articles and communications.
